Pleck Barn

Pleck Barn is a old fashioned farmhouse B&B. Tastefully decorated it is a relaxing and dog friendly place to stay offering overnight accommodation and breakfast in the Dorset village of Ansty, close to beautiful countryside and many attractions and within a short drive of the Dorset Jurasic Coast.

It has very comfy beds, clean rooms, cotton bed linen, good showers, plenty of hot water, large towels and breakfast cooked to order.

We also love animals so dogs are more than welcome.

Pleck Barn has Super Fast Broadband in every room and ample safe parking. We also offer facilities for horses, for an additional fee.

There is a pub/ restaurant in the village within a 15 minute walk.

Our rooms

All rooms feature en-suite shower rooms and offer exceptional value for money.
Children are welcome and extra beds are available on request.

The Green Room

The Green room can be arranged with either a super king double or twin beds. It also has a sofa/ sofa bed if needed and a TV/ DVD player.

The Blue Room

The Blue room can be arranged with either a super king double or twin beds. It also has a TV.

The Silver Room

The Silver room has a full sized double bed. It’s a small room, perfect for an overnight stay on a budget.

  • Early check-in or departure can be done on arrangement only. Please call us or discuss with us upon booking, and we would also appreciate it if you let us know (roughly) when you intend to arrive.
  • Our address is: Pleck Barn Ansty, Higher Ansty, Dorchester DT2 7PU
  • The Sat-Nav does not take guests all the way to Pleck Barn. The property is half a mile outside the village of Higher Ansty, travelling towards Hazelbury. The property is on the right-hand side, down a farm track.

Monkey World

Monkey World assists governments around the world to stop the smuggling of primates from the wild.  See the monkeys, listen to talks or take a guided tour of the centre.  Facilities include cafe, picnic area etc.

Open every day, (except Christmas Day) 10am to 5pm,  10am to 6pm during July & August.
